What does the "reset" button do on my modem/router

PLEASE DO NOT PRESS THE RESET BUTTON. Doing so will cause your modem to lose all provisioning. To restore the provisioning in the modem a Minerva Valley technician will need to come to your house which will incur a service call charge and possibly labor costs. To avoid these charges the modem can be brought into our office to be reset.

My TV says "No Input."

If you turn on your TV and the screen says “No Input” there are a few things you can try.

  1. Make sure the set top box is turned on.
  2. Your TV is on the wrong input. To change the input, press the input button on the remote until the TV is on the correct input.
  3. A cable may be loose or unplugged. Check to make sure all the cables are plugged in to the proper ports.
My Internet seems to be getting slower, why is that?

As you connect more devices to your WiFi the bandwidth you are receiving is split to serve each device. Streaming sites such as Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, and others require a good amount of bandwidth per stream. All these things combine to slow down your connection and you may need to increase your bandwidth. Call our office at 641-487-7399 to discuss your uses and options.

I have a virus on my computer, what can I do?

It is very important to have good virus protection on your computer and to keep it up to date. Also make sure you are allowing updates for Windows, Java, and other applications to install. However, sometimes a virus can still make its way into your computer. If this happens Minerva Valley can help you out. You may either bring your computer to our office or we can come to your home or business to take care of the issue.
